Beechdean AMR returns to British GT

In what looks like the most competitive British GT GT3 field for years, Beechdean Motorsport will return with an all British Line up.

Darren Turner, Aston Martin Factory Driver, and Andrew Howard, Beechdean Team Boss, will compete in the championship winning Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The pair are continuing their successful partnership having competed for 2 years in ELMS; being crowned European champions in 2016. The team will compete in the whole championship and look to start the season with a strong GT3 testing program. Howard, double British GT3 champion said “I am really looking forward to competing back in British GT, I feel it is the best pro-am championship in Europe and this year looks extra special. The ultimate endurance test of ELMS and Le Mans has been amazing, but a year off to concentrate back on close GT3 racing and hopefully testing with a new car later in the year was something that couldn’t be missed.". Turner was quoted saying – “It has been a long time since I’ve raced at many of the circuits on the British GT Championship calendar. British GT has been booming for many years now and the depth of competition this year is equal to many of the international championships. With full, competitive grids, it’s going to be an exciting season for the drivers, the teams and of course the fans. I’m looking forward to sharing a car with Andrew (Howard) again. It has been a lot of fun competing with Beechdean in the European Le Mans Series over the past two years and I know we have the potential to win races this year.”. Beechdean Motorsport has been competing on many levels for over 10 years and has many race wins and championship wins to its name, it has brought through young talent from its GT4 campaigns, run cars in British, European and the world stage of Le Mans.
