Beechdean Motorsport scored another pole position and podium finish as the British GT Championship moved into the second half of its season at Snetterton, Norfolk.
The third pole and third podium from the opening six races boosted the title hopes of Aston Martin Vantage GT3 drivers Andrew Howard and Ross Gunn, who remain within a single race win of the series lead.

After using both Saturday's Free Practice and Pre-Qualifying sessions to work on preparations for Sunday's pair of one-hour races, it was Ross who came to the forefront in qualifying.
The Aston Martin works driver set the fastest lap of the weekend to claim pole position for Race 2 and convincingly led the field away as the lights went out at the start and built a lead of more than 1.5 seconds.

Having seen his advantage reduced in traffic, Ross pitted to hand over driving duties to two-time series champion Andrew during the mid-distance pit window; the Beechdean mechanics performing superbly to keep the #7 Aston Martin ahead.
An unfortunate spin shortly afterwards lost Andrew the lead, but he doubled down on his efforts to regain time and drove a commanding stint to reach the chequered flag third overall and in Pro-Am.

Race One featured a strong start from Andrew as he gained a spot from sixth on the Pro-Am grid and reached the driver changes fifth in class. Ross took over and gained another spot as the duo took fourth in Pro-Am and sixth overall.
The Snetterton results put the pair sixth in the overall standings and third in Pro-Am and just two races to go, the next of which takes place at Donington Park on September 5-6.
